logic pro X CPU Overload during tempo changes

I've been running into a consistent problem. When I go to play a track that involves a tempo change, my CPU meter pings and I get that freaking (-10011) error!

It doesn't matter how many VST's I have loaded up. Right now I'm working on an orchestral tune that involves a lot of tempo mapped stuff so every time the tempo changes...crash.

the buffer is set as high as it will go.

I've tried restarting the computer

my machine is more than capable. What am I missing here? Is there any way to "fix" this?

My workstation:

• Logic version : 10.0.7

• OS X version : 10.8.5

• Computer : Mac Pro

• Processor: 2.8 GHz Quad Core Intel Xeon

• Memory: 16 Go 1066 MHz DDR3

• Audio interface: RME Fireface U

What plugins are you using? (Both Software Instruments and FX)

Do you also have Audio tracks /Flex involved?

Additional: You are running Mountain Lion with LPX, the combo of which is known to be not as stable or efficient as Mavericks and LPX...

Note: To help prevent confusion for others reading your thread...

Logic uses AU (Audio Unit) plugins not VSTs...

VST is not the generic term used for plugins.. but is a specific type of plugin format.... along with VST3, AAX, AU etc....
