Apple ID and FaceTime question

Hi,

Do I need to set up a different apple ID for my home iMac (Mavericks 10.9.5) and my iPhone (iOS 8) if when abroad I want to call my home with FaceTime using my iPhone?

Can I have two different accounts using same apple id?

Thanks

iMac (27-inch, Late 2013), OS X Mavericks (10.9.5), Iphone iOS 8

Hi Dom456Fer,

Of course two different accounts on your mac can be used by the same person and therefore have the same apple id... but that does not make sense in most cases.

If you want to call home from your iPhone i suggest not to call yourself. Call another family member on their apple id. They can accept your call on their iPhone or on their account on your mac at home.

regards jl
