Oct 2, 2014 8:05 PM in response to apple_girlby apple_girl,update : Issue resolved!
I called Apple Support and they suggested changing my router setup.
I have comcast cable modem/router connected to Apple time capsule. The cable modem is assigning IP address for my network. We changed the setup to have Apple time capsule assigning ip address and that resolved the issue.
Steps:
1. open time capsule through airport utility and go to network tab. Mine was setup to bridge (off). This means time capsule is acting as pass through in my home network
2. change time capsule network setting to DHCP and NAT. change the ip range to 10.0.1.10 to 20
3. After that open time capsule again in airport utilitY. The status will be yellow. Click on double NAT and indicate 'Yes'.This is to indicate that it is okay to have dual network ( Cable modem and time capsule both assigIng IP address)
This setup resolved the iphone 6 network issue for me.
It still doesn't explain why iphone 6 is the only one that has this issue on my home network though.
Hope per that helps
