quite regularly on iOS8 I seem to get "No SIM card installed" "OK".
this happens often ten when I open a new app or such and when I swich between apps.
the message is correct! I have NO SIM card installed! I just don't need to be told about it!
how do I fix this?

thanks brett for your reply, but the issue is that i DO NOT have a SIM installed, and in iOS7 this did not get reported every minute that i opened a new application. I have no intention of putting a SIM card in the device any time soon. So why is iOS8 suddenly reporting this on my device?
