I upgraded my iCloud Drive to a 200 GB plan and I wanted to share the space with my wife for backups via family sharing. But it looks like the iCloud space is not being shared. Does anyone know if this is possible? If yes, how I can share the iCloud space with other family members?

Unfortunately, Family Sharing does not share your iCloud storage. Also, storage cannot be shared by multiple accounts.

Is it possible to log onto the larger storage iCloud account from the wife's phone and then backup?
(Especially if the iCloud and iTunes account are not the same)
e.g., husband has one login for iTunes and a different login for iCloud. Wife has other iTunes/icloud account
Apple, PLEASE change this policy. Purchasing 200GB for both my phone and my wife's phone when we only need to back up ~25GB each is crazy. We have a pool of data, let us SHARE it. Either that, or offer a smaller storage amount.
Really I went to family share rather then have my kids use my Apple ID but I can't use the backup storage I have purchased. I have to purchase 3 separate storage plans?
Do you really think they are going to change? They let you shared purchases but not storage, I'm sure someone has an answer for this other than "sharing is never free". They won't even change how your TV Shows play. I used to be able to just watch one episode at a time or choose to play the whole series but now, it plays the whole series and you have no choice. Somebody makes these decisions and they really don't know how they affect ordinary people, we are all just stupid and we just need to accept what they give us because they know better than we do.
