Can I cancel a preordered book?

Thanks for the reply, but I still can't figure out how to cancel preordered books. When I go to the Store in the website, I can't find where it says "my Apple ID ". From there the instructions say to click on settings and then manage preorders (or something along those lines), but I've combed through apples website and I cannot figure it out. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

No, you need to open the iTunes app on your computer. Make sure you are signed in with the Apple ID your pre-ordered the book under, then click on "Store" in the top menu, then "View Account". Type in your password and your account info will display. Toward the bottom in the Settings section you will see the Pre-order info with "Manage Pre-Orders". Click on that to cancel it.
