iPhone 6 Plus Screen Orientation Sticks

I have an iPhone 6 Plus, 64GB. I am having the followign issue:

My screen will either get stuck in landscape or upside down. Yes, I said upside down. There are times I will unlock the the phone and when the home screen comes up, everything is upside down, just like an iPad would be when you turn it around. Even when I spin the phone around, trying to get it to turn the screen, it won't rotate the icons. I hit the power button, and unlock it again, but it doesn't always fix it. Last time it was stuck, I had to power the phone off and back on before it would work right again.

I have checked the orientation lock button, and it is not activate.

I have checked to see if my screen is regular or zoom and it is set to regular.

Anyone else seeing this? I wonder if it is a bug with hardware that controls orientation?

I have a solution: I sent back my 6+ and got a 6 instead. Problem has not re-occurred.

having the same problem. i6+ 64gb VZ. Hoping its a software issue and not a major hardware problem across all 6+'s

I was experiencing the same issue on my Iphone 6 plus 64gb. Apple support advised me to complete a restore on my phone, so far so good, it's been a few days

IIf you have the phone in zoomed mode or bold text it will cause this for some reason. Turn both to standard and it will fix the problem.

Turing off zoom or bold text does not fix the issue. People have tried this before and still have issues.

6+ 128gb iOS 8.0, not using zoom or bold, setup phone as new and I have same issue which renders phone useless unless I reboot it. Add to list of software issues.

Just want to add to this thread for the record.

iPhone 6 64gb iOS 8.0.2

Experienced sticky orientation in Safari, Messages, Camera (photos recording wrong orientation data), etc.

Seems to have been fixed by reseting all settings, but I hope this is addressed in an update soon. I don't want to have to set up my phone again!

So I spoke too soon in my previous post. My sticking landscape issue came back today after my restore But I called Apple and they are sending me a new iPhone 6 plus, deeming it a hardware issue!

I Didn't get it yet but I will keep this thread updated.

When I talked to the guy at Apple, he said they are not aware of this issue, that they don't read these discussions. He advised to use the feedback option so they know of these issues.

Obviously this is a huge issue, a lot of people are talking about it.

I hope my new phone doesn't do it!!! It is extremely aggravating!

this is happening to safari, camera, etc.

looks like without jobs the apple quality is really diminishing. never had a real problem with apple products until the latest and greatest iPhone, how ironic.

Having the same issue. Apple should act via a Hardware recall.

Mine is the Iphone 6 plus 128. Just got it 2 days ago.
