It took a little while for them to show up... but I can now see the family sharing options in both the App and iTunes stores for iOS 8.
However, the iBooks store is not working at this moment.
Has anyone else encountered this problem?

I have the same problem with my Ipod Touch (Gen 5). Family sharing music and apps show up on the Touch, but books do not. Books DO show up in Family Sharing on my IPad. (I've checked all the settings Apple says to check, and I've waited DAYS for the books to download.)
Interesting that you had it pull up on one device but not the other. I'm going to keep trying as I believe it will eventually show up... The app store and itunes stores didn't appear until a day or two after I started checking them regularly.
The iBooks store, when clicked on Purchases... is just completely blank. Nothing appears after the loading signal stops.
I ended up upgrading to the new iPhone 6. After completing my setup, i checked the iBooks store and miraculously... i could see family members purchases....
I can not seem to get iBooks to appear on my wife's Mac that I have purchased and want to share. She is set up as a family member. I do not se a "Purchased" option on her iBooks app when started. Her computer is authorized and she logs in but no option to check purchases.
I was having this problem as I have also setup a family share account. Go to the 'Featured' tab and at the bottom under the managed header is a 'purchased' link. I found everything I wanted there.
ibooks does not show family sharing!
