Printer will not connect to airport

Hello I just switched from a netgear router to an apple airport. My HP1022n network printer worked great with the netgear and my macbook but now it will not connect. I have tried deleting the printer and re-adding it - it shows up in the nearby printers - and shows with a green light net to it in my printers - but when I go to print it just tries to connect with no avail. I have not changed anything else so not sure why it is not working now. Please help!

Thanks!

Hi Devon,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

It sounds like there’s an issue connecting to your wireless printer since switching from your old wireless router to an Airport base station. The two articles below will resolve most issues like this, the first will walk you through multiple setup configurations and the second provides troubleshooting suggestions.

I hope this helps.
