Sep 24, 2014 7:44 AM in response to 9137767167by mario49,Hey 9137767167,
Thanks for the question. After reviewing your post, it sounds like you have no service on your iPad. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you resolve or isolate the issue.
iPhone: Troubleshooting No Service
Toggle airplane mode: Tap Settings > Enable Airplane Mode, wait five seconds, then turn off airplane mode.
Turn your iPhone off, then on again.
Remove the SIM card and verify that it's a valid, carrier-manufactured SIM. Also verify that it isn't damaged, worn, or modified. Then reinsert it.
Check for a carrier-settings update. Connect to a Wi-Fi network. Then tap Settings > General > About. If an update is available, iOS will ask you if you want to install it. If Wi-Fi isn't available, connect your device to iTunes.
Update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS.
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will reset all network settings, including Bluetooth pairing records, Wi-Fi passwords, VPN, and APN settings.
Restore the iPhone.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
Have a nice day,
Mario

Sep 29, 2014 6:25 AM in response to mario49by 9137767167,I followed your steps very methodically and same result. After 2 hours of in-activity on iPad, when I came back to it, "No Service" was in top left corner whereas it had shown 4 strength dots like this ".... AT&T 3G".
I'll next go to the AT&T store to get a new SIM card, perhaps it's bad.
Thanks and will update later.
