Q: iOS 8 lock screen info too dim

iPhone 5 running iOS 8.0

When playing music, the song info is shown on the lock screen.

The song title and cover art are displayed correctly. However, just below the song title,

the artists name and album title are shown. This info is so dim it can't be read in daylight.

is there any way to brighten this info?

Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Increasing the overall display brightness should help you see the lock screen information better. Please use the attached article as a reference.

I should have mentioned that I already have the brightness turned up to the max.

I've looked all over for other settings that may affect my problem, but haven't found any yet.
