iPhone 6 Call Quality Issues

Same Issue exactly, at least half the volume of my 5s.

I have to use headphones to take phone calls. No bueno. I hope this is fixed in the next few days.

My wife had exactly the same problem, and I solved it. How?

Have you guys peeled off the plastic wrap? That's quite thick.

since I received my iPhone 6 Plus on Friday I've noticed that all of my phone calls have very bad audio quality. i thought it was just when I was talking to someone in a car. But it doesn't matter where they are.

WHat hat does it sound like:

its like a crappy digitized vrry tinny sound. It's as if the ither person is talking on a radio.

Same here audio quality will most often begin good quality then I will hear a click and it will degrade to badly muffled and compressed sounding. Absolutely awful

This is exactly my problem, have you solve it? I hear the other person like he was using a radio to talk to me.

potentially not an iphone problem but network provider and moreover cross network transmission in that hi def audio over same networks seems to be ok, then when networks who piggy back across multiple networks, hd audio is not compatible all the time and sometimes becomes compressed, bad quality.

I was reading on HD audio and narrow band audio over mobile network hence my reply. put me straight if am on the wrong track

LOL, I'm so glad I came here first before calling Apple. I got my iPhone 6 the 2 days ago before the case and screen protector got here so I figured using it with the plastic on would be ok for a day. Lol took a video and all I heard was hissing. Made a call and could hardly hear the person on the other end.

So yeah... removing that cover fixed the issue! 😝

I am facing similar issue, Iphone 6 and when I make a call, people say the call fades as I speak. They complain that they are not able to hear me properly.

I've had the same issues, and eventually had my SIM card swapped by my provider. This completely fixed the issue. Apparently they sometimes get damaged or scratched and this can impact call quality. I was amazed.

Both Options suggested in the communities worked. First I disabled LTE in the handcut SIM and issue was fixed. Next I swapped the existing SIM with a new factory cut nano SIM from the carrier service provider and enabled LTE. The issue got resolved.
