Oct 6, 2014 2:27 PM in response to Philly_Phanby PACETurf,Does anyone on this forum know of anyone with an iPad2 upgraded to iOS 8.0.2 that is satisfied with performance after the upgrade. If so, can you possibly persuade them to make a post here and detail how they made the upgrade work? I have not heard from anyone who has been satisfied with the upgrade so far. If satisfied upgraders are out there, I would like to know how they pulled it off.
Please ask your friends and family. If there are millions of satisfied users with the upgrade, they must have done something that we missed and even Apple Support missed. If there is nobody, that would also be interesting and we can stop looking for solutions - their may not be a solution at this time - other than purchasing a new iPad - something that I am not ready to do at this time - maybe never.

Oct 6, 2014 2:37 PM in response to pacoKASby Dracofear,I found a fix! Okay, so try clearing Safari History in Settings>Safari>Clear History and Website Data then go into Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings, please let me know if this works, I had a friend try this and it worked.

Oct 6, 2014 3:14 PM in response to Dracofearby artysan,@Dracofear - resetting Network Settings will indeed give you back your cellular service, TEMPORARILY. I did this on average slightly more than once a day until I became very tired of re-entering all my wifi passwords for memorized networks. A reboot will accomplish the same thing, but without losing network settings.

Oct 6, 2014 3:36 PM in response to ChrisPhilipsby SamoAt18,Where can we post without being censored?
-
Oct 6, 2014 3:41 PM in response to SamoAt18by ChrisPhilips,It depends. If you just want to belittle the people with iPad 2s that are having problems with iOS 8, you can post here, along with "Star Traveler" and "Philly_Phan." If you want to discuss the fact that Apple has screwed you over, you'll get censored.

Oct 6, 2014 3:59 PM in response to Dracofearby M45birdy,DRacofear, Thanks for suggestion. Tried it, will let you all know if it helps my issues. PLEASE NOTE: before anyone tries this, be sure you know and have on hand your router/wireless network password!!! You will need to rejoin network. Luckily, my husband wrote it down for me and I knew where to find it.

Oct 6, 2014 4:46 PM in response to pacoKASby foxy25,I had similar issues with a very slow iPad 2, the spinning icon in all aps etc. Decided to do a restore via iTunes, A WHOLE BUNCH BETTER. Did it solve ALL issues NO. My iPad went from not usable to almost like it was in IOS 7 version with regards to speed. Maybe worth a try.
