Q: IPAD2 very slow after IOS 8 upgrade

After IOS 8 upgrade many aplications ( Safari, Facebook, etc) load  very, very slow (comparing with 7 version) , with a significant delay of more than 10 seconds...

Who can I solve this problem? Any workaround?

PD

Apple should better test the software before delivering.

Thanks.

Send it to me, and I'll pay for the shipping. I could use a free iPad 2 ... :-) ... as I've gotten many of them to working again, on these forums ...

Not as bad as constantly advertising for personal donations and having them repeatedly removed.

Well it just happens to be the signature on my email - not something I am adding.  But some of us are trying to help the world be a better, safer place.

Has anyone else had the upgrade to IOS8 lose all their PDFs saved in iBooks? Years of work has gone.  I tried to recover an earlier backup but while it showed the docs briefly they were lost in seconds????

    Any helpful comments welcome

Try reading these as you should have done before agreeing to them.

Ah? you didn't seem to disapprove of startraveller trying to conduct personal business on the discussion by trying to acquire other folks iPads for personal gain?

I have also read the terms of use and fail to see what you keep whinging about - perhaps you could be more specific? Although I would prefer advice on how to get my iPad2 working again

no, you need to explain.  Having read the terms of use yet again 0 I don't see how any of my responses are in breach.  However, an explanation of your view would be helpful to me, and probably many of the community here

Your constant advertising for personal donations. But you know that.

They have been removed from all your posts you applied them to. You would have known if you had read the Terms Of Use

that it is disallowed in these Forums. But you already knew that.

As for StarTraveler, I thought he was your Pal? I saw nothing wrong with his or her posts, and neither did the Forum Moderators if the posts are still up, unlike yours.

If you wish for assistance, stop breaking the basic rules of politeness and the basic rules of Terms Of Use

    Cheers and good luck

Where's the "personal gain" with me paying for shipping for an iPad 2 that a poster here says is no good, that Apple has destroyed and is going into the trash? ... LOL ...

Forgive me, I have to pick myself off the floor ... :-) ...

After reading almost 50 pages of messages and trying to manually restore to iOS 7, I am officially giving up.  I have decided to wait like other sheeple for apple to fix this doo-do.  Sorry, that's the most precise term I could find.

Hey JohnMhoyt, I read some of the other comments you've on written here and you're so dead-right.  iOS 8 on iPad 2 is the bgigest fubar, if I've ever seen one and 50 pages worth of people complaining is even worse!

At this time, there us no conceivable way to revert any iOS 8 upgraded iPad 2 or 3 as Apple has removed the earlier iOS 7 versions off of their download servers.

So, there is really nothing you can do now, but wait and hope another iOS 8.x update is in the pipeline and forthcoming sooner than later.

I've gone ahead and turned off all nonessentials/turned on "reduce motion."  Slight improvement but yup, you're right my friend.
