Q: IPAD2 very slow after IOS 8 upgrade

After IOS 8 upgrade many aplications ( Safari, Facebook, etc) load  very, very slow (comparing with 7 version) , with a significant delay of more than 10 seconds...

Who can I solve this problem? Any workaround?

PD

Apple should better test the software before delivering.

Thanks.

You are reading my post out of context.   When I mention complaints about poor performance in iOS 8, I am specifically referring to performance on an iPad 2 after an upgrade of iOS 8.  How in the **** is that a violation of the terms of service?

I think you need to step back and relax, and stop threatening us.  We are trying to solve a problem DIRECTLY related to the "" thread.

Exactly where has this gone off the rails?

There are a lot of words in the Terms of Use, but quoting this from it ... is a determining factor in answer to that question. It says ... "your Submission should either be a technical support question or a technical support answer."

SO ... you have a user who posts the "technical support question" ... then ... you have a user who posts the "technical support answer".

If a user does not receive a "technical support answer" there is no more use for this forum ... but there is a use for APPLE SUPPORT ...

What's the "technical support question" --or-- if you're supplying answers ... what's the "technical support answer"?

@ Star Traveler, I appreciate that you are trying to justify your existence here, but these continuous rebuttals to valid posts might, just possibly, could be perceived as bordering on abusive and argumentative and they are certainly condescending.

Apple has already identified this as an issue, as outlined in the developer release note link for 8.1.1 relating to "increased stability and performance improvements for iPad 2 and iPhone 4s."

There are too many reports of the same issues from more sources than little forum. So please of us all a favour and drop the condescension by trying to insinuate that your are smarter than rest of us, you're not. If you know about a potential update then being transparent about make you a good little admin. I've never experienced, not ONE SINGLE TIME in the history of forums an admin with your tenacity for trying to prove others wrong.

And yes, I was being a bit condescending on purpose so you might actually know what it feels like.

And for everyone watching, my previous post was deleted by the admin after he replied with a long diatribe pointing out all the things I was wrong about.

    Just sayin'

This will be deleted, too, I suspect.

Yes, I saw that, and I saw the posts, and if you persist to post against the Terms Of Use that YOU agreed to, then you will most likely be removed permanently from these forums.

    Good Luck

I am not an administrator or one of the moderators here, but I do push the Report Post button, which allows moderators to catch violators. The moderators don't have the time to read every single post here, so the report button does help them.

And you won't find the administrator or moderators engaging in conversations here ... that's not their job.

If a post is describing a problem "for the purpose" of asking for a solution that they can implement on their own iPad ... I don't say anything to that person except if I have a question about a symptom they are describing.

OR ... if a post is giving a solution that a user can implement on his iPad ... I don't say a thing about that.

THOSE TWO are your VALID POSTS.

On the other hand is someone is posting off-topic and not of those two "valid posts" up above, then you'll see me go off-topic right with that poster and stay with it ... :-) ...

I've never experienced, not ONE SINGLE TIME in the history of forums an admin with your tenacity for trying to prove others wrong.

Well ... you obviously don't know that this is a "user forum" and not an administrator forum or a moderator forum. I am neither of those two ... only a user.

BUT those posts have nothing to do with proving anyone wrong, but only in engaging someone if they go off-topic, that's it.

    @drc_,

I wanted to say thank you for your post on iOS 8.1.1 and planned improvements for running on iPad 2 devices.   That's the first time I've heard some positive information on this problem.  Nice work; now we have something to go on.

I've already been banned once today, and I have no doubt that thank-you notes violate the Terms of Service , so I expect that our wonderful admins moderators users whatever will ban me again.   I do hope this gets to you somehow.

I do think it a tad ironic that one of the few posts that was truly helpful was one that caused issues.   Oops, there I go again, violating the TOS...

This is forum is exclusively for solutions asked for and solutions given, and as such, you're not going to get the worldwide news on everything Apple or iPad here. It's not for that here. And Developer stuff is controlled by a NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT, which would be violated here, plus the fact that the Terms say no "speculation" on this kind of stuff. All these terms of use are set up for a reason, and that is to keep things EXCLUSIVELY along the lines of solution asked for, and solution given ... and nothing more.

There is not a shortage of SPECULATION all over the Internet about Apple if you want, and most of it is totally useless anyway, but if you like speculation, you can get all you want on the Net, but not here.

I was still looking for three others that I didn't write down, but these are what I did have written down ...

Ipad2 has major problems with iOS 8

iPad 2 and iOS 8.0.2 Problems

I've got three others that I specifically remember off the top of my head. I'll hunt them down tomorrow.

All the others are ones that have replied back to me in various threads and thanked me, but those are scattered all over the place and I never tracked them. Those others number around 100. So, I've personally gotten results back from at least 100 users.
