Q: iOS 8 crop
Trying to understand why the crop function in iOS 8 offsets the cropped image and changes the intended action taken by the user. This problem does not seem to be present on iPhone. We own an iPad 2 and 4. The problem is present in both platforms. However, my wife upgraded her iPhone 4S and she was able to crop without problems. Here are the steps followed:
1. Selected an image from Photos Collection
2. Selected Edit
3. Selected Crop icon; "optimal" crop presented (Figure 1) with handle bars for individual updates
4. Image cropped by user to intended size and preference (Figure 2)
5. User presses "Done" and image is presented cropped on Photo folder
Note that the image is not cropped as the user intended and instead is offset to the top left corner and zoomed instead.
This can be reverted to the original size of the image with on cropping.
This error is nor present on iPhone.
This error, by NO MEANS, makes image manipulation easier or more interesting on iOS 8.
A response from an Apple Genius would be greatly appreciated.
