Hi,

My friend had created an account with the email id @aple.com a year ago for I pod touch 5 gen and now recently she had reset the I pod and now its locked and showing Activate I pod , and now she does not remember the Password for the account and we tried recovery option but its showing wrong details provided.

My question is how can apple allow users to create an account with n @aple.com without verifying it how can apple allow the user to log in in icloud.

I had contact apple support team but they are ignoring this fault, they say that you can create any domain email address .But i say unless an until the account is verified how can we get this the lock is activated on the device.

Currently the Ipod is locked and we have no options to get this unlocked.

Your iPod maybe second hand?

iCloud ID can be the same as Apple ID but needn't be.

In Find My iPod/iPhone the ID determine the Activation Lock, if you didn't have the right credential, you cannot activate your iPod.

The is a prevention from un-authorise user to use the iPod/iPhone/iPad.

If the iPod was purchased directly from Apple, the original purchaser should contact iTunes.

cKuan you din't understand, and please note its not a second hand device ,and even the apple says that the account @aple.com was not verified . Birth date is taking correctly and 1 answer is correct.

i have a simple question for you if i create an email account with apple id it needs to be verified ? right ! unless i don't verify my account i should not have access to my i cloud account and activate find my ipod.

Please not she was not aware about the email account that she needs to provide gmail or yahoo id instead she directly put used P****@aple.com and the id got created.

Unless you have the original receipt (not from some 3rd parties) make an appointment with Apple genius with the receipt and see what they say.
