How do you activate actionable 3rd party notifications iOS 8

With iOS 8 you can now drag down on notification banners to reply to messages and for me it works for iMessage. However your supposed to be able to do this with 3rd party apps like Facebook and twitter to like or comment etc? I get the drop down banner but can't pull down on 3rd party notifications. Are we waiting for updates from Facebook and Twitter etc or am i missing something in my settings?
