Q: upgraded to iOS 8

I cannot access old Pages documents since the upgrade, only the new Pages (beta)

Is it possible to re-install iOS 7?

This latest upgrade is a disaster for me.

Also the compatible upgrade to Yosemite for my MacAir is not yet available, so the devices are no longer compatible.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Hello paxima,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

From your post it looks like you have upgraded to iCloud Drive with iOS 8 and are unable to access your documents in iOS 7 or OS 10.9.  Below are your options to access your iWork documents after making the decision to switch to iCloud Drive.

If you upgrade to iCloud Drive now:

    • Your documents will keep up to date across devices with iOS 8, Macs with OS X Yosemite, PCs with iCloud for Windows 4.0, and iCloud.com. (OS X Yosemite will be available this fall.)
    • Your documents will no longer keep up to date on devices with iOS 7 and Macs with OS X Mavericks or earlier.
    • You’ll be able to use the iWork web apps on iCloud.com.
    • You’ll be able to use the Share via iCloud feature on iOS 8 and iCloud.com. You’ll be able to use it on OS X Yosemite later this year.
    • Documents you previously shared via iCloud will be accessible to collaborators.

    Using iWork with iCloud Drive

What if I already upgraded to iCloud Drive but still have devices with iOS 7 and OS X Mavericks?

You won't be able to use iCloud Drive on these devices until you update to iOS 8 or OS X Yosemite. If you already upgraded your account and need to use a device that doesn't support iCloud Drive, you can still work on your documents locally, but they won't be kept up to date with documents on your devices with iOS 8 or OS X Yosemite, or on iCloud.com

Thank you Alex h1. I cannot access my docs from with my iPad with iOS8, nor on iCloud.com. I appreciate that I cannot access with maverick. That is my problem. Neither could the geeks at the Apple Store, so it is not just me being thick. :-D

Will update with 8.02 and see if that solves the problem. Will be back if it doesn't!

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi again Alex H

The first update to iOS8 has not resolved the issue.

I cannot see any of my docs in iOS8 (iWorks) pages on my iPad.

Neither can I view them in iCloud on my laptop. They have disappeared entirely.

I cannot work on them locally because they are not there ... on either device.

Do you have any suggestions? I have been off-line for a couple of days, but today again the situation is unresolved.
