iPhone 6 Silicone Case - is your camera misaligned in the case cutout?

I noticed that the camera lens is not centered in the cutout for the camera and flash - in other words - the lens is pressed against the cutout edge on the top/left, and has some extra space below it. That's not how the product stock image depicts it. I am kind of annoyed because I am worried that dust will get in between the lens and the plastic rib of the silicone case and cause scratches to the delicate lens bezel.

Anyone has the same issue? Or is your lens perfectly centered in the cutout?

I purchased the Apple Silicone Case to use while I wait for my OtterBox Defender. Now I am facing a problem in that I really like this silicon case. With regard to your question ...my Camera is centered exactly in the opening. The case couldn't fit any better and I love the bottom of the iPhone being totally open with no obstructions for accessories. I also watched a drop test of both the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus using both the Apple Silicone Case and the Apple Leather Case. All Cases protected the iPhones on the Pocket Drop and the Ear Drop but the iPhone 6 Plus screen cracked on the 10 Ft. Drop using the Apple Leather Case. The iPhones in the Apple Silicone Case survived all of the Tests. Now I do understand that this is not a statistically significant test but they say "seeing is believing". Out of fear, I may actually use the OtterBox Defender Case when it arrives but I know I will then loose the very nice form factor of the iPhone 6 design.

Hi. I have the same issue with the camera cutout for my 6 Plus silicone case. The case has only been on the phone for less than 24 hours, but like you I am afraid it's putting stress on the lens bezel. Have you resolved the issue? I tried taking the case off, and stretching the plastic cutout of the case, but when I put the case back on it didn't seem to help.

Do you think the lens bezel will be damaged over time with that constant pressure? I wonder if it's just a random flaw with many of the silicone cases, and it won't truly cause any damage?? It's still a freaking eye sore.

Hi-

I was not able to "solve" the issue. I noticed that you can take the case off, then put in on in a way that centers the lens. It will stay that way for some time, but eventually the case seems to slide into the un-centered position again. It's kind of annoying, but I think I will just live with it. I don't think that such light pressure against a metal lens bezel will cause any issues, unless you carry your phone in sandy/dusty environments (in which case you should probably get a LifeProof case anyways).

I wouldn't worry about it too much.
