Q: Remove device from "My Devices" list in iCloud.com "Settings"

Hi,

I have upgraded my iphone and followed everything to disassociate from my account.

I have turned off find my iphone, then erased the phone.

As a result, I can't see the old phone on find my iphone. Great.

BUT... if I go to iCloud.com, in "Settings", I can still see the old phone listed here, and can't do anything to remove it.

Any ideas?

Many thanks!

Been having the same issue and it's driving me nuts, both an iPhone 5 and iPad Air in 'My Devices' tab on iCloud.com. Seems like the only option is to turn off iCloud if you have the device, if not you have to wait for Apple to either allow you to remove it remotely through iCloud or if the above posts are true wait 90 days for inactive devices to automatically disappear.

You can currently remove them from Find My iPhone but that doesn't solve it, also removing them as trusted devices is also irrelevant. BTW anybody not seeing that 'manage trusted devices' tab that probably means you haven't enabled 2-factor authentication for your Apple ID.

It's not a major problem, just an annoying one.

hi, I apologize for my English ... I too have this problem I replaced my 6 plus with a new one and now under my devices I have both the new and the old 6 plus !!! I called apple support and they can not help it, have submitted the problem to the engineers ...

Expect an answer because I still practice open.

You're forced to wait 90 days? you can not eliminate them before?

    thanks

^ If you still have the old phone, try singing out of iCloud on it (delete the account if it's running iOS 7 or earlier).  The list shows devices signed into your account.

BEFORE you make a switch from Old Iphone to a new one:

Make sure Itunes version is current

    Old phone:

    Perform Itunes backup with apps

Perform Icloud backup ( just in case )

    New Phone

Setup as new device and update OS to the latest version. Use your Icloud id as usual.

Go in Itunes and restore from backup ( old phone backup)

    OLD Phone:

    Turn off find my Iphone

Sign out of iCloud on it (delete the account if it's running iOS 7 or earlier) - this is important

This should remove device from I cloud.

Then you can erase data from old device ( reset all) and sell it or trade it in

We know how to do it with the device, I wish people would stop posting the same thing... people are looking for a solution that doesn't involve having the device

I have a new iPhone6 because I got a hairline crack in the screen which Apple replaced for me by giving me new device. THAT device THEY took still shows up in iCloud (ON BROWSER LIST OF DEVICES). How can I remove this?? I know I added products like my Apple TVs. I cannot find a way to delete them.

Totally insane. I got a new replacement phone from Apple and the old one (I NO LONGER HAVE) shows up under devices @ iCloud.com under settings. This is very poor. There is now way at all to remove this device. Please.. IS there a way??

    SOLUTION:

    -open iTunes

-click on your name at top to the right of apple logo

-on drop down menu choose account info

-under account information go to iTunes in the Cloud section

    -choose manage devices

    -remove unwanted device

    Cheers!

Thank you for the tip but you are a bit confused.

We are talking about iCloud and NOT iTunes.

Your "fix" has nothing to do with this.

    Sorry

In itunes:  did your unwanted device show up under "manage devices"?    When you pressed remove, did the device disappear from your list?

Check to see if your unwanted device is listed on iTunes via the protocol I provided....remove it from iTunes then go log onto iCloud.com and go check to see if it still comes up.

    Cheers.

make sure after you remove from iTunes, go to iCloud.com;    if already signed in  then sign out and sign back in again.

I just tried it and did not work.  Removed devices from the iTunes account info area and they are all still showing up on iCloud.com.
