Q: Remove device from "My Devices" list in iCloud.com "Settings"

Hi,

I have upgraded my iphone and followed everything to disassociate from my account.

I have turned off find my iphone, then erased the phone.

As a result, I can't see the old phone on find my iphone. Great.

BUT... if I go to iCloud.com, in "Settings", I can still see the old phone listed here, and can't do anything to remove it.

Any ideas?

Many thanks!

I have the same issue. I no longer have the phone and my 4s still sits there in devices. Would love a solution as my OCD is going into hyperdrive over this.

I bet this is in the same dumpster fire category as how I can't change my apple user ID...

I have the same issue with my old iPhone 4S.    It still appears in iCloud Settings/My Devices on iCloud.com but does not show on Find My Phone.

I turned off Backup and Find My Phone and signed out of iCloud and then Reset/Erased all Content and Settings before sending the old phone out for recycling.

I no longer have the old phone

This is not a big deal.  However, a solution that does not involve creating a new Apple ID or deleting the iCloud account would be desirable.

I see several other threads dealing with the same issue.

I have tried three different OS's so it can't be that. It's iCloud and all my devices present and past are still there including the ones I've sold

Hope apple will have a solution for those who don't longer have their hands on the device.

Just adding that I have the exact same issue. It probably is not a high priority for Apple as there seems to be no negative consequences of it still showing up - new owner can use it, and of course not access my iCloud in return.

Would be nice to get an option to delete it though, especially since it should be gone by deleting it from Find my iPhone.

    Hi All,

I've found a solution on how to remove your existing device!

    First go to https://appleid.apple.com

Click on Manage your Apple ID and Sign In.

    Verify your identity.

    Go to Password and Security.

Click on 'Add or Remove Trusted Devices’.

Remove the device you want from the list and then you can Verify your new iPhone etc.

Seemed a good possibility, but I do not have an option to 'Add or Remove Trusted Devices'?

The problem of the old devices showing up in iCloud doesn't seem to relate to any devices used as a "trusted device" for your AppleID. I have already removed an old iPhone from the "Manage my Apple ID"-Settings a while ago, and yet it shows up on the iCloud.com-Settings.

So I have done some testing.

    All devices running ios8.

    > Iphone 5c, 5s, 5 and iphone 6 and 6 plus.

    - setup and signed into devices, shows up on icloud.com settings page my devices.

    - disable find my phone (still shows up on my devices)

    - sign out of icloud on handset.

    - Removes listing from icloud.com settings my devices page. OK SUPER

For phones no longer in my possession. could not find a way to remove.

    Even visited

    https://supportprofile.apple.com/

and removed all my old previous old or destroyed devices and still not removed from icloud.com setting my devices listing.

a simple x button to delete these devices on icloud.com would be cool, instead of this mucking around.

IF ANYONE FINDS A WAY TO REMOVE DEVICES NOT IN POSSESSION ANYMORE PLEASE SHARE

For anyone who doesn't already know about it, there's now a facility to check the activation status of your old device here:

    www.icloud.com/activationlock

Using this tool should at least reassure you that you did successfully disconnect the device from your ID, even if it still gets listed...
