Email frozen, screen is blank, then goes to home screen. HELP!

Try reset iPad

Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home button down together until you see the Apple Logo.

Note: Data will not be affected.

Try reset all settings

Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings

Note: Data will not be affected but settings for Wi-Fi, FaceTime, Message, Home Sharing, Wall Paper, Sound etc will be reset

I am having the exact same problem.

I made a draft of a large (10.2MB) (Yahoo) email on my Mac and the problem with the iPad happened when I clicked on this draft from my iPad. Now when I hit mail, the mail screen comes up but completely empty, hangs around for about 30 seconds, then the mail app closes and I am back at my home screen

Rebooting or reverting back to original settings doesn't work.

Yes. Took it to the Genius Bar. Deleted my Yahoo mail account, didn't work so for some reason we also deleted my Gmail account. Then it worked, and I re-installed those accounts. If that had not worked we were going to delete and re-install the mail app. Hope this helps!
