Problems After update to iOS 8 on ipad 2

Hello community,

please pay attention when you update your iPad 2 from iOS 7 to 8. The whole useability of my iPad broke down and their are many problems using my iPad now. Everthing is really slow and I always need a restart to connect to my service provider with 3G. The following problems occurred on my iPad:

  • Safari is working realy slow and sometimes brake down
  • mail is also realy slow and most of the functions sometimes don't work or hang
  • 3G connection fails anytime you switch on the iPad and needs a restart

TO Apple:

please improve this version of iOS and submit your update asap, otherwise my iPad is not usable anymore and lose me as a customer.

thx.

II've tried 8.1 - same performance, an android like ipad. Come on Apple please fix this.

I do not understand your comment? An Android like iPad?

Firstly there is nothing wrong with the Android Platform although it too has had it's bugs over the years, but is still outselling Apple.

Secondly, whatever it is that you wish to have fixed (you have not informed us of what issues you are having), then tell Apple or SWC.

MMy iPhone 5s is working ok so far after 8.1 update, but huge issues with iPad 4!

iPad 4 freezes on Apple logo after restarting. before turning off big wifi/safari issues. Very slow and wifi was not staying connected.

LAst update ate already cause issues to my perfectly working iPad 4 with ios7....I was so hoping ios8.1 would fix slow issues, but now worse then ever.

I will not buy another iPad again if they don't fix these issue correctly and fast. Starting to loose trust.

SO ... here you are saying ... "Come on Apple please fix this." ... and then I'm telling Apple, "You're doing fine! Keep up the good work and squash those few minor bugs that are left."

AND THEN ... there are millions of others who are just fine with iOS 8.1 and not saying anything at all. SO EXACTLY WHO is Apple supposed to be listening to?! ... :-) ...

The ones that I believe Apple is listening to right now, are those who have opened up trouble tickets with Apple, or have brought their iPads down to the Genius Bar to have them looked at ... more specifically, the ones of those trouble tickets that Apple couldn't fix on the spot. Those are specifically the ones that Apple is listening to, and has been listening to, and Apple is (and has been) addressing those particular concerns.

SO ... if you want Apple to "listen to you" in a way that they can "actually do something" ... the ONLY WAY that is going to happen for you is if you have a "TICKET NUMBER" at Apple Support.

I think the most productive way for me to deal with these varying issues here on this forum ... eould be to simply ask of the poster, "What is your Apple Support 'ticket number'?" ... :-) ...

Do a reset to factory default condition using iTunes. This will give you a "clean install" and have your iPad set up just like it came off the factory floor. Be sure to do your backups!

Is Apple reading our issues or just counting their revenue from iPhone 6?

NO ... Apple does NOT READ the "users helping other users" forums. There are moderators are here to maintain the "Terms of Use" for these forums, but Apple Support is NOT HERE and they do not track issues here.

If you want Apple Support then you need to go to "Apple Support" and not here, where you are just talking to other users. You can find Apple Support at the following links ...

Come on Apple show us that customer is Number 1!

I Agree with everything everyone is saying on this post. My iPad 2 is so bad now after ios8 that my kids will no longer use it and go to my wife's iPad mini Instead. It is no longer usable. It hangs constantly in all kinds of apps. The touch doesn't even work reliably anymore. How the heck could the developers destroy touch. The wifi connection is constantly dropping and reconnecting. It's just an awful experience. I used to love it and now I hate it. Tim Cook should spend less time talking about his personal sexual preferences and more time ensuring he delivers quality product. He'sno Jobs that's for sure!!

i have an 8 month old imac that I will not upgrade the OS on until I am assured the new OS Yosemite...or whatever it's called...actually proves useful.

Apple, you are about to lose your ideal customer to the competition if you can't get you act together. We have very Apple TV ever made, every iPod from version 1, two iMacs and 2 iPads with regular purchases of music and renting of movies from iTunes. Very soon that will all go away unless you fix the crap iOS that you just launched because if you think I will upgrade my iPad because your ios has slowed down...you'd be sadly mistaken.

Please fix your crap quickly!!!!
