Problems After update to iOS 8 on ipad 2

Hello community,

please pay attention when you update your iPad 2 from iOS 7 to 8. The whole useability of my iPad broke down and their are many problems using my iPad now. Everthing is really slow and I always need a restart to connect to my service provider with 3G. The following problems occurred on my iPad:

  • Safari is working realy slow and sometimes brake down
  • mail is also realy slow and most of the functions sometimes don't work or hang
  • 3G connection fails anytime you switch on the iPad and needs a restart

TO Apple:

please improve this version of iOS and submit your update asap, otherwise my iPad is not usable anymore and lose me as a customer.

thx.

SSimilar issues using wifi as far as not connecting to servers. Crashing apps this update is an unmitigated disaster and another example of poor quality control which was something they used to excel at

My iPad 2 is virtually useless since upgrading to 8.0.2. I feel the investment I've made in the Apple infrastructure is a total waste of time and money. Apple has clearly forgotten about Customer satisfaction. This experience has made all the hype about new product announcements a joke as far as I'm concerned. Jobs would never have allowed this to happen. They need to fix it NOW or lose me as a Customer forever. Heads need to roll at Apple!

@MuckyDuck....that's a ridiculous statement...'our iPads have outlived their years'?? In our home, we still have an original iPad that's gets used just about daily for some things. It was quality built and they didn't push the software past where the hardware could take it. This is exactly what they have done with iOS 8 & iPad 2. Listen, I'm an Apple fan and would like to remain, but Apple needs to suck it up and get back to making quality control job #1.

IPad air upgrade:

messages take hours to get to their destination.

safari = useless

more than half my apps won't open or crash immediately.

Keyboard doesn't work well....sometimes I need to hit the letter 6 times before it will type.

spent three hours st the Apple store. They crashed the ipad, then reinstalled ios8. Ipad is worse than before.

i Am terrified to dl ios 8.0.2

does anyone know when 8.0.3 and 4 and 5 are coming out?

Add Me To The List of people who hate this update. Typing is often unresponsive, safari is slugish, and the thing freezes all the time now (santander banking app, chrome, etc.). It drives me nuts to type and have to wait a few seconds for words to actually appear on screen. If I open a new tab in Safari, it is unresponsive and the. opens about 5 tabs. This is nuts. (I'm on ipad 2 also).

SO frustrating....

Simply restartingmy iPad 2 fixed my glitching sluggish issue completely. The only problem I'm having is that I can't use my Bluetooth keyboard on the text pop up reply window for some reason. But since I can receive phone calls from my iPhone 5s on my iPad 2 even though it said I shouldn't be able to, I am super pumped about the update. Anxiously awaiting the texts from non iOS users coming to my iPad now....hurry Apple hurry 🙂
