Oct 4, 2014 4:14 PM in response to larssonsvenssonby htmanning,Apple is too big at this point. Just like Microsoft before them, they get so big they start making errors.
Apple needs to give users the option to run whatever OS they want, just like on computers. Forcing users to upgrade to an OS that slows down their devices, with no way to reverse the error, is unconscionable. I don't know why the public allows a company to behave this way and I can't understand why a class action lawsuit has not already been filed. It's okay to release software too early, but it's not okay to force people to use it without an option to go back.
My iPad mini is buggy and sluggish after upgrading to iOS 8.
Remember when Apple products just worked? That's the whole reason I switched to Apple from Microsoft in 2004. Apple is the new Microsoft. Everything they release now is buggy. I completely skipped Mavericks because it was too buggy on one of my machines. I won't be upgrading to Yosemite until a few updates have been released. I just don't want the headache.

Oct 4, 2014 7:38 PM in response to htmanningby Billnielsen1,My ipad 2 is crashing and freezing. Even after updating to IOS 8.2. Even oping this window was difficult. Keyboard did not respond for several moments. Facebook never loads on the first attempt. Takes at least three tries and then it takes more time for the ap to start responding. I deleted and reloaded the app and still have the same issues.
i agree Apple will fix but time is very important. Please help.

Oct 4, 2014 7:59 PM in response to michaelfromtorby ranpat86,I have an iPad 2 that I upgraded to iOS8. my question is will Apple acknowledge there is an issue with iPad 2? I'm wondering if they over estimated iOS 8's ability to run on iPad 2's hardware. It seems buggy, lags and crashing so much I don't want to use It.

Rubbish. But if that is what you believe then tell Apple and not us.

Oct 4, 2014 10:09 PM in response to flygreg88by Su Lim,ANy solution? My IPad has also become useless. I can't read my documents stored in Goodnotes. The app closes when I touch the tile button to jump pages. I cant possibly scroll every page before I can go to the rlevant page. Quickedit also can no longer read the word document. Safari also not working.
Appreciate advice on how to revert back to IOS 7.
why is Apple is so irresponsible to release software which causes breakdown in so many apps?

You cannot revert back. Give your feedback to Apple, not us.

Oct 5, 2014 12:09 AM in response to petermac87by torbenhp,Pete, your link is to MAC support.
I Spent close to one hour trying to find the IPAD feedback link and it kept reverting to the forum..
Seems to me that Apple doesn't want to hear about this issue so they make it difficult to make complaints.

Oct 5, 2014 12:15 AM in response to petermac87by htmanning,Restoring the iPad 2 and setting up as new does yield better results, but it doesn't always work. It is also a major pain in the butt to set everything back up again.
@petermac87 - I don't say these things lightly, and I have told Apple. I am a fan and have been for quite some time, but they have let us down recently with half-baked software that we can't downgrade. Although it has become common practice in recent years to force people to upgrade, it isn't right. Nobody wants to pay for something that isn't ready for primetime. I know they don't force you to upgrade, but they make it miserable for you if you don't. The fact that you can't clear the badge on the Settings icon if there is an update is bad enough.
Your view is clearly in the minority here.

Yes, because it is a Forum for people with issues. They represent a minuscule percentage of 1% of users. In the real world where tens of millions of users have no issue, it puts you in the minority out there.
