Oct 19, 2014 10:10 AM in response to flygreg88by GMan2RP,Same problem here. Have tried all ideas posted on various web sites but all the same results - connection to 3G on O2 works for a period of time (not long) and then fails again.
Only method of getting it back is to turn power off or do a soft reset on the ipad. Its also generally much slower and freezes a lot on ios 8 too.
Hopefully a fix is on its way but at the moment it is more hassle than its worth trying to get it to work properly. Like many others I would love to wind back the update to ios 7 but there is no option available to do so as Apple seem to firmly believe that ios 8 is perfect!!!
All very very frustrating.

Oct 20, 2014 11:16 AM in response to flygreg88by Gav1831,Hello community and flygrass 88,
Updated iPad 2 from iOS 7 to 8. The whole useability of my iPad also fell apart, funny how you take slick operation for granted or until it no longer works . Everthing is really slow juddery and general a pain I to always need a restart to connect to my service provider with 3G, and the only plus side is at least I know that it is not my iPad but Apples programming. I have issue with:
- Safari is working realy slow and sometimes just hangs there
- mail is also realy slow and most of the functions sometimes don't work or hang
- 3G connection fails anytime you switch on the iPad or if I leave it for a period but especially when i go out of signal then return to a known good signal area I reboot the dam thing.
TO Apple:
please improve this version of iOS and submit your update asap, or allow me to reload previous version as this one is a s**t, and iPad is current more effort than it is worth now theres something I never thought I would say.

Oct 20, 2014 11:45 AM in response to Gav1831by Star Traveler,Apple Support people do NOT interact here nor do they do any Support issues here. If you want to "talk to Apple" ... you're not going to accomplish it here. You're just talking into NOTHING here, if you're talking to Apple.
Apple DOES have a place where they DO talk to people and give them Apple Support and also listen to FEEDBACK, but it's NOT here. This forum is EXCLUSIVELY for "users helping other users".
Here is where Apple will "hear" what you are saying!

Re: Report on the NEW iOS 8.1 Revision Today
HOWEVER, since you're currently having problems, it might pay for you to do a "clean install" and reset to factory default through your iTunes program. That way you won't install this over some corrupted files that may be in your system ... and be sure to do your backups first!

Oct 21, 2014 7:14 AM in response to flygreg88by alexred,I Have the same problems and more. My email when opened just stays blank and then fades away. Some of the apps that worked with IOS7 now won't activate at all. I used to think Microsoft were bad but this is the worst experience I have had with any upgrade.
