Oct 23, 2014 11:07 AM in response to petermac87by peterfromwarwick,I really get a kick from all of the "Apple Apologists" that post here. To them I say, stop apologizing and start posting solutions. I find it hard to believe that these problems are being imagined by all the users that are having problems. No matter what level of expertise they have, these problems should have been avoided by Apple.
On the other hand, there are people with the same model devices who are not having problems, so it does not appear that the bugs are device dependent. It's more probable that some combination of settings, download and setup procedures, apps residing on the device, etc. are at the root of these problems. It is entirely Apple's responsibility to resolve these issues. Users should not have to spend hours searching the net and reading obscure blogs to find solutions to the problem they create. They better do it soon or people will be jumping ship permanently.

Oct 25, 2014 9:35 AM in response to Dunnster09by SaraSM,Me too! I thought it was the battery failing; but from what I am reading on this thread it is a problem with software, not hardware. Hope Apple has a fix soon.

Oct 25, 2014 12:14 PM in response to Mawada mohammedby Mamibel,
OK but how can I return to previous version of IOS ? -
Oct 25, 2014 12:21 PM in response to Mamibelby Star Traveler,It's not possible ... plus ... it's not supported by Apple. But the main thing is that it is simply "not technically possible". I'm not sure why some people even bother mentioning it when it's not at all possible to do it. I guess that just reflects how much they "know" (or rather "don't know") about the subject!

Oct 25, 2014 12:23 PM in response to Mawada mohammedby Star Traveler,Ummm ... I'm really curious about something! How or where do you get the idea that it's even possible, technologically speaking, to even do that? I'm really wondering where this MISINFORMATION comes from. Is there some sort of website out there telling you this?

Oct 25, 2014 12:26 PM in response to SaraSMby Star Traveler,Just to satisfy your own curiosity on the matter, you can take your iPad down to the Apple Store and have them check the battery. They'll check the state that it is In. Maybe you could also ask them how many charge cycles it has gone through. This will give you an idea of how far along in its life it is.

Oct 25, 2014 12:38 PM in response to flygreg88by perryfromtiptree,Does anybody have a fix for this problem? My ipad 2 is now very slow!
-
Oct 25, 2014 1:47 PM in response to Star Travelerby SaraSM,Many thanks. People at the store have always been very good about helping me, but since my iPad is out of Apple Care, I hadn't considered bringing it in. Actually, I hope it's an IOS problem and not the battery since Apple will update, hopefully soon, and address the problem. But, if it is the battery, then it's time for me to upgrade to a new iPad. I don't belive in putting money into an obsolete device. But, in any case, your recommendation is really good, and it's something to keep in mind; and, , I will go to the store and see if they will check the battery for me.

Oct 25, 2014 1:45 PM in response to perryfromtiptreeby Star Traveler,Do a reset to factory default condition using iTunes. This will give you a "clean install" and have your iPad set up just like it came off the factory floor. Be sure to do your backups!
