Sep 28, 2014 2:02 AM in response to edmundseetby spetert,Dont do upgrade it hasn't fixed my iPad problems. Still dropping 3G connection regularly and no way to fix it without shutting iPad off completely then restarting it.

Sep 28, 2014 3:11 AM in response to Dunnster09by Iron_pony,My iPad 2 is virtually useless since upgrading to 8.0.2. I feel the investment I've made in the Apple infrastructure is a total waste of time and money. Apple has clearly forgotten about Customer satisfaction. This experience has made all the hype about new product announcements a joke as far as I'm concerned. Jobs would never have allowed this to happen. They need to fix it NOW or lose me as a Customer forever. Heads need to roll at Apple!

Sep 28, 2014 4:22 AM in response to MuckyDuckby Sonnyboy89,@MuckyDuck....that's a ridiculous statement...'our iPads have outlived their years'?? In our home, we still have an original iPad that's gets used just about daily for some things. It was quality built and they didn't push the software past where the hardware could take it. This is exactly what they have done with iOS 8 & iPad 2. Listen, I'm an Apple fan and would like to remain, but Apple needs to suck it up and get back to making quality control job #1.

Sep 28, 2014 4:54 AM in response to flygreg88by WillyL,BTW, after resetting my iPad 2 by erasing it, and starting over like it was a new iPad, I haven't had any further issues. Still testing the 3G connection, but it works great on WiFi, and so far also looks OK on 3G.

Sep 28, 2014 5:14 AM in response to Mohinabonuby WillyL,Sorry, I have no idea how you might do anything without iTunes. It doesn't have to be on a Mac, but you gotta have a computer with iTunes.

Sep 28, 2014 5:59 AM in response to flygreg88by Darehauf,Add Me To The List of people who hate this update. Typing is often unresponsive, safari is slugish, and the thing freezes all the time now (santander banking app, chrome, etc.). It drives me nuts to type and have to wait a few seconds for words to actually appear on screen. If I open a new tab in Safari, it is unresponsive and the. opens about 5 tabs. This is nuts. (I'm on ipad 2 also).
SO frustrating....
