Oct 16, 2014 6:53 PM in response to FoxJohnSixby Star Traveler,Apple does not watch this forum for tech support or for engineers to see what problems are there. This is ONLY a "user helping other users" forum, with APPLE MODERATORS employed to ENFORCE the "Terms of Use" for this forum.
If you want Apple to "hear something" from you, you need to go to one of the following.
Apple Support
Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar
http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/
Product Feedback
https://www.apple.com/feedback/
BUT one thing I can guarantee you is that Apple will NOT be doing any "rollback" as they have never done it in the history of these iOS devices. OH ... one other thing I can guarantee you, too, Apple will always roll out "bug fixes" for whatever has been identified and analyzed and solved by their engineers.
iOS 8.1 is coming out in a few days - on Monday - and it will also have new features included!

Oct 16, 2014 7:30 PM in response to FoxJohnSixby MarknMikel,I would like to "beg" Apple to fix theses issues. We can't afford to buy brand new devices as of this moment. I so hate my iPadat this moment. Use to love it.
Just to remind you, here are some of the issues from the top of my head, wifi cuts out, apps freeze, facebook stops updating any new posts, multitasking gestures stop working, tango not working, the deleting of 30 songs from my music list and giving me U2, can't stand that invasion, this just a few. And I have also noticed that my iPhone has been playing up, iMessage does not work for some contacts that do have iPhones, and even when it goes as a text message they don't get my messages, and they have updated their phones, iMessages is on for me, but still others don't get my messages. Anyway, I have a list and I am sending it as part of my complaint to Apple, I am going to be brutaly honest.
Has anyone noticed the double up of letters that come up in the beginning of what your typing in these posts? Or the uppercase letters that just pop up in a word your typing?? Just so sick of it all, I'm seeing all the negatives at the moment, and there are a lot of them! Also have you noticed that the so called "uproar" about the upgrade has gone on longer then the other updates in the past, and there are more issues in this update then the others in the past...food for thought!
Hope it all gets fixed, should have been done yesterday or within two weeks of the issues that came up and kept coming up.

Oct 16, 2014 7:42 PM in response to MarknMikelby Star Traveler,There's no "Apple" here ... just forum moderators to make sure the posts are according to the "Terms of Use" - and note, your post is not according to it. If you want to "talk to Apple" - this forum is not the place. Apple put up "Feedback" for that.
Product Feedback
https://www.apple.com/feedback/
If, on the other hand, you would like fellow users to offer solutions that you can implement on your iPad, you'll need to post a thread on the specific issue you would like a solution given to you from other users. Its own thread will get noticed more that way. If you would like OFFICIAL APPLE SUPPORT, then you'll need to go elsewhere, to the following links ...

Oct 17, 2014 1:23 AM in response to gtwscwby Doc8,It is a nonsense that Apple do not 'allow' you to revert to the previous operating sytem that clearly worked. I find my iPad 2 also goes so slowly that it becomes almost unusable. It also spontaneously loses the O2 network connect, I have to switch off and back on again to correct this. it previously worked fine and sped along.
It does seem a ploy to get you to upgrade to a latest model. Best course of action is NOT to upgrade the operating system if seems to be working fine. Apple must clearly be aware of the likely issues faced by Users of marginally older devices.

Oct 17, 2014 4:01 AM in response to MarknMikelby Shabbypink123,YYes, I also have the double up. As a matter of fact there it is. This time I am not fixing it. We all know we can contact Apple by sending feedback. Many succeeded but if you read through the many replies, the "submit" button was non- functional...leaving many unable to send feedback...We also know we won't get a response on our feedback. Been there, done that. Tried all of the suggestions posted here in this topic. Hoping for a fix from Apple soon, because otherwise, I will never again spend one.red.cent. on another one of their products.

Oct 17, 2014 5:35 AM in response to Shabbypink123by MarknMikel,NNo use trying to (aaannd.... there it is!! ..yeh I'm not correcting it either) so as I was saying..no use explaining yourself about what we already have been through and tried to do with regard to giving feedback and the 'submit' button, I know to some degree Apple does get the gist of what goes on 'here' and of what the buyers/customers are saying as there is no way they won't be curious as to what we are saying. What company would allow for a forum and not have a squiz at it! And also why remove the submit button in the feedback section, if not to stop the plethora of incoming complaints. Well if there wasn't a plethora of problems in the new update then it may have never had to come to this. I personally think that apple is trying to get us to buy newer products, and to use there own apps, not apps like tango or viber, as these have been useless ever since the update also. And in their eyes, they are only doing what they need to do to move forward, make majore money and survive, fair enough, but sadly we have other things in our lives that are more important to spend on then a new expensive tablet. It's enogh that electricity prices are soaring, there are too many other things to think about, so it would be nice if our useless iPads and iPhones be fixed ASAP, so that our faith in apple is restored. Just saying.

The submit button is fully functional. It works now and it worked before. If you were having trouble, then you should check your browser and it's settings, or switch to another machine or a different computer.
We also know we won't get a response on our feedback.
LOL ... it's "FEEDBACK" from you, not a discussion. You must have "gotten a clue" that they don't anewer you back from their statement on that same entry page, where Apple says ... "Use the form below to send us your comments. We read all feedback carefully, but please note that we cannot respond to the comments you submit." ... :-) ...
If you want a "discussion" then you should go to Apple Support ...

You need to clear your system out by doing an iTunes reset to factory default. That gets rid of corrupted files which are probably causing you trouble.

Hoping for a fix from Apple soon ...
Apple always analyzes the troubles coming in on the Apple Support channels and if they identify a bug of some sort from those support channels, the engineers work on it to provide a solution. There are always bugs, as there have been since computers first came out, and Apple always provides the fixed. BUT not all problems with users (or even most problems with users) are bugs which require fixes. A lot of the time they are scrambled and/corrupt files, bad apps that developers have provided, or a certain number of hardware failures. So, troubleshootimg procedures are needed.
As was announced by Apple yesterday at their Keynote for the new iPads coming out ... Apple is releasing iOS 8.1 on Monday. It contains some new features and also whatever bug fixes have been analyzed and fixed. You can always count on Apple fixing whatever bugs people have reported to Apple Support. And, I hope you have reported those issues of yours to Apple Support, so that they can be analyzed.
... because otherwise, I will never again spend one.red.cent. on another one of their products.
That would be your loss, unfortunately ...

Oct 17, 2014 10:01 AM in response to Star Travelerby Shabbypink123,You seem to have an answer for everything here. You sure you don't work for Apple? I did send feedback, however, a handful of others were unable.... If I never again purchase another Apple product, it's not MY loss..

Oct 17, 2014 10:00 AM in response to Shabbypink123by Star Traveler,No ... I don't work for Apple, don't sell Apple stuff and don't work for anyone who is connected with Apple. I don't even have Apple stock ... LOL ...
BUT, I am an Apple products user and have also accumulated a few points, as you can see ... of which points can only be accumulated by other users awarding them to you by helping them. The other user himself decides whether to award the points.
This is a forum for "users helping other users" and is not a forum for having a "gripe-fest" or "hissy-fit" ... :-) ...

However, if one does "know" the answers for the various problems that users have, one will get points.

Oct 17, 2014 10:15 AM in response to Shabbypink123by Star Traveler,Apple announced yesterday, at its keynote for the new iPads, that iOS 8.1 is being released on Monday. Besides the bug fixes that Apple always includes whenever it identifies any bugs, this upcoming release of iOS 8.1 will also have new features! "Camera Roll" is also coming back to the Photos app, because of consumer demand.
You can watch the event at the following link, if you wish ...
