Oct 17, 2014 12:07 PM in response to Ramserby BLee915,Having bluetooth issues with just about every bluetooth device connected to my 6. Acura audio becomes choppy after taking a call over bluetooth. PowerBeats2 and Plantronics Bluetooth headset both become choppy after taking one call. I ultimately have to turn bluetooth off on my iphone and then turn it back on so all of the devices can re-pair to my phone. Pretty annoying. Tried the Reset All Settings for my car, didn't seem to have any effect. Lets hope 8.1 fixes these bluetooth issues on Monday.

Oct 18, 2014 1:44 PM in response to Ramserby rudic1308,This worked for me - it was posted in another chat. If you updated to iOS 8 on your iPhone 5 and restored your iPhone 6 from the iPhone 5 backup (from iCloud) you have to reset all settings. I had trouble that my brand new iPhone 6 would not work properly with a LG HBS-730 Bluetooth headset, nor with my Bluetooth in my truck (Toyota Tundra). It seemed to get even worse over time! The fix was to reset all settings and I had to do the reset twice to get it done: Go to: Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. This will reset all your personalized settings and password. No data or apps are lost. Hope it helps.

Oct 21, 2014 3:30 PM in response to Ramserby BreannaJared7412,I Have the Motorola buds with Iphone 6 and have had the same problem but I found a solution! When pairing the device, click on the Motorola buds in the Bluetooth settings then right after hold your finger on Motorola Bluetooth. After that, should work fine.

Oct 25, 2014 10:27 AM in response to BreannaJared7412by FrenchToast,I should be so lucky: my old but faithful Sony Ericsson MW600 BT earphones just won't connect at all, and the phone (iPhone 6 16Gb) doesn't even "see" them.
On the other hand, it always "sees" my MacBook Pro, though it can't connect to it anyway, and although I've told the phone to "forget" this device countless times. The phone even "sees" the Mac when the latter has BT off...
Really, there's something wrong with iOS 8.1 regarding Bluetooth management...

Nov 5, 2014 3:24 AM in response to mjarchby KDKLOSS,This worked for me also. I had tried resetting all settings before with no luck. The key to this was renaming the phone before pairing. Thanks!!!

Nov 6, 2014 2:14 PM in response to Ramserby ritafromo,I am SO disappointed with my iPhone 6!! Bought a 2014 Camry about six months ago and was loving being able to use the bluetooth in my new car! THEN i bought an iPhone 6 and NO more bluetooth in my car. I went back to my Toyota dealer and was told that it is an issue between Apple and Toyota. According to the dealer, Apple is not worried about this issue and that it may never be resolved. What's going on Apple? I switched to all Apple products because of your level of service to your customers. I can honestly say that this was true until I bought the iPhone 6. I am SO disappointed in you!

Nov 10, 2014 2:47 PM in response to djmtfby sonicartist,My new iPhone 6 fails to pair with my new UE Mini Boom speakers. On the Bluetooth page, the DEVICES icon just spins constantly, regardless of sequence of the pairing options. Please post how you were able to pair your UE Mini Boom with your iPhone 6. Thanks!

Nov 13, 2014 6:58 PM in response to Ramserby Joaco,Hello friends
The problem I had with my Mercedes-Benz GLK350 was that only the Musik files could be heard through the car speakers but no phone calls could be made.
The solution that worked for me was from the Radio system in the car, searching for the iPhone from the music menu, AND from the phone menu; that's right, searching for the iPhone two times from each menu. It worked; hope this helps

Nov 26, 2014 9:06 AM in response to Ramserby jackcarey01,My iPhone 6 was a free upgrade from Verizon from my iPhone 4. The new 6 would not link to my Mercedes (2010 E350) or my home stereo (Bose). Verizon, of course, was no help. They have repeatedly lied to me about iPhones. (Apparently they get better commissions from Droids) They simply told me, with a good deal of glee, that Apple knows about the problem with OS 8 and simply doesn't know how to fix it. I then went to the Apple Store and found out that basically Verizon was right. We tired all the things they could think of and nothing worked. I then told Verizon I wanted a replacement and they sent me one promptly. Now I have my second '6' with OS 8.1.1 and no dice, neither my car nor my Bose recognizes the phone and the phone does not recognize either of them. I have searched web and tired all the suggestions i could find. I was also told by the Apple folks that they cannot dummy-down the phone to OS 7, or something else that works. So today I'm off to Verizon to turn in my 6 and reactivate my 4, which fortunately i did not turn in for rebate. Most likely ill upgrade to a Droid while I'm there.
By the way, except for the fact that it doesn't work, i really like the 6.

Nov 26, 2014 9:59 AM in response to BLee915by BLee915,Update: 8.1 and 8.1.1 did nothing to improve bluetooth connectivity. I've found that I can connect "okay" (sometimes it connects, sometimes it doesn't), but when I take a call or use Siri over bluetooth, when it returns to playing music (in my car, over headphones, or Bose speaker), the audio is choppy and cuts in and out. I don't know much about how bluetooth works, but it almost seems like when the phone shifts from playing music over bluetooth to a voice call or Siri, it shifts to a lower bandwidth but then doesn't switch back when the call or Siri is over, so the music doesn't have enough bandwidth and ends up being choppy. I'm wondering if it is a hardware issue or a software issue... although I would assume it is a software issue.. Actually, i still have my 5 on iOS 8 so I'll test it.

Nov 29, 2014 4:41 PM in response to Ramserby I-have-all-Apple-devices,I`m having a similar issue. I just bought an iPhone 6 to replace my iPhone 5. I own a Sennheiser MM 100 and a Sony MDR-10RBT bluetooth headphones. They worked well with my old iPhone 5 but can`t find both on iPhone 6 to pair these devices. Sennheiser is bluetooth version 2.0 and Sony is 3.0. I also own a JBL in ear phone Synchros Reflect BT. It works with my iPhone 6 and the bluetooth version is 4.0. Does anyone have the same trouble with Sennheiser and Sony headphones ?

Nov 29, 2014 11:46 PM in response to I-have-all-Apple-devicesby FrenchToast,My Bluetooth earphones is a Sony Ericsson MW600 (BT 2.0), and it works now: I just had to press its power button long enough for it to appear on the discovered devices list on the iPhone 6...
I never had to do that before on my old iPhone 4, which was BT 2.0 compatible too).
I'm experiencing other BT issues, but I'm not going to pollute this thread with my ramblings again...
I'll post another thread about it. HTH!

Dec 1, 2014 5:11 PM in response to Ramserby bullsface,Like many other users, my new iPhone 6 with IOS 8.1 can't work with my 2012 MB E350 bluetooth. I tried to reset the network settings without any luck. My previous iPhone 4 with iOS 7 did not have the same issue. It is a shame that Apple doesn't recognize this issue publicly and issue a fix quickly. Very disappointed!

Dec 1, 2014 9:56 PM in response to bullsfaceby FrenchToast,Have you tried to press the Power button on your Bluetooth device long enough for the iPhone to "discover" it? It worked for me and for some others.
It may work for you too, especially considering that in 2012, Bluetooth 4.0 (comes as standard in the iPhone 6) hadn't yet been released. It could explain why pairing such "old" devices with the newest iPhones can prove difficult.
