Q: After updating to iOS 8.0.1, my iphone 6 shows "No Service"

So, after speaking to Apple Support, I was advised to go to Settings and choose "Erase All Content and Settings". The phone restored from iCloud since I don't use iTunes backup. Sadly after erasing all content and restoring basic settings from iCloud and a reboot, I still don't have cellular service.

Yeah, you need to do the restore from iTunes as it does a redownload and install of the full iOS where "Erase All Content" simply erases all settings and content, no actual software update.

FYI there's also a new carrier bundle that gets installed

iTunes won't let me do a restore I tried, it does nothing because Apple pulled ios8.0.1 from the servers!!

Thank you @fkick1!  I called Apple support and they instructed me to plug my iPhone into my computer, press the power & home button on my phone until the iTunes logo displays on the phone and then from iTunes, do a restore.  Good news is that I have cell signal but now I need to reconfigure my phone and restore from iCloud.

@Kingjager87 - iTunes downloaded iOS 8.0 and installed 8.0 on my phone. I have cell signal but because I use iCloud for backup, I am erasing all content again and restoring from iCloud all of my stuff. I performed the iTunes restore about 15 minutes ago; I hope Apple didn't mess things up again for you!

I could almost understand if it broke all the iPhone 4's still out there, but the BRAND NEW IPHONE 6?

Come on Apple Peoples... Come On! It's not even like a third party app caused this. It was YOUR OS on YOUR HW.

Quickly android looking more and more like my next phone purchase. Sorry Apple, this all is completely inexcusable. Bent phones, an iOS release that is probably two beta versions away from truly being ready to a follow up emergency release that now breaks peoples phones completely.  It shouldn't be this hard to get things right. For a company who prides itself on taking its time before adding things to its products in order to wait to perfect new technology you're surely making some pretty avoidable mistakes right now.

how? i downloaded ios 8.0 and cant find the file to open on itunes. the explenation itunes gives works until you have to select the file on the computer.
