If some apps are not working after the update, check out the article below for general troubleshooting with apps downloaded from the App Store. You should also check the apps that are having trouble and look to see if they have updates for iOS 8. You can either wait for those updates form the developer or you can delete the App and download it again.

Thank you for you reply. I have done all of these things. Some of my broken apps have been fixed because the developer did an update to ios8. I am still waiting on other developers. I have notified them on their support page. Thank you again.
