No cellular connection after updating to ios 8

This is a first...seems to be only affecting iPhone 6 users.

Instructions to revert back to iOS 8 for iPhone 6 and 6+

-now also for iPhone 5S

Download may take a while as everyone is downloading it right now

Once downloaded, move the file to the desktop (or wherever, just makes it easier to find)

Open iTunes

Just to be safe...do a backup and save it to your computer. Click "Back Up Now"

Connect iPhone to Computer

On Mac : While holding alt/option click on "Check For Updates". Finder will open up, navigate to the desktop and click on the ipsw file (that you just downloaded) and follow the promptings. Takes 2-3 minutes with one reboot.

I just did this, works perfectly.

Am I safe to assume even though you downgraded, your apps (and their respective contents) were copied back on through the iTunes restore process? Or did you have to set it up as a "New phone"?

It wasn't a restore so much as an install (I mean it is but...). At least not to itunes viewpoint. I did a backup just to be safe prior to doing it but you're safe. Everything stays the same. Whatever was on your phone before the update will be there after.

Cant find CHECK FOR UPDATES! Plz explain where it is!

Same here, I am with Verizon wireless, I called them twice, Verizon tech's are left clueless. I got the iPhone 6 plus. I got the iOS 8 updat on my iPhone 5. iOS 8 needs work. Some of apps are crashin. This on my iPhone 5. My iPhone 6 plus can't connect the verizo

wireless network at all. The phone sends out this phone is not activate! I just got this message again. Now on my iPhone 5 my starting to crash. I had restore some of app from App Store. I say again! I cannot connect to the wireless network. I am with Verizon wireless.

when I download the file, it is a zip file.

When unzipped, there is no ipsw file anywhere, can you help?

I have the same problem. It is a .zip and even when extracted there is no file found through iTunes in the folder...

I found out that if you rename file extension from .zip to .ipsw

The above instructions work.

This is for windows users.

My phone is now working fine, so far.
