Q: Cannot backup up to cloud; verification

I need to verify my account to back up to icloud. They supposedly are sending instructions by email. None arrive. Checked spam folder too. Any ideas why?

iPhone 4S, iOS 7.1.2

Hello CMardikes,

Check out the article below if you have not received your email to verify your Apple ID. You should be able to resend the email if you have not received it.

If you didn't receive your Apple ID verification or reset email
