Q: If I open mp3 files with itunes and edit their times, what mp3 players will recognize it?

ipods are a little too fragile to last long with me, so I was gonna buy some other mp3 player. however I'm not sure if any other will recognize the time edits I make to songs. what I do is download an mp3 to my computer, drag it into itunes, put in the author and album artwork and everything, and change the time the song ends and starts in the options tab. but my player (which is not from apple) will not sync the time changes (the rest of the information is fine). is there any mp3 player besides an ipod that will sync those edits?

    hello blahblap,

Unfortunately, no other audio/mp3 players will be able to read the time adjustments you've made in itunes.

if you export the music, as new copies, permanently changing the audio to the time changes you've made, then the audio would be as you want it. but you would PERMANENTLY lose the audio you cut out in the new files.
