According to Apple's documentation, you can't.  All purchases by members of the Family share group are charged to the organizer's credit card.  A possible workaround would be to purchase and redeem a gift card using your iTunes store account.  Purchases will use any existing credit before being charged to the organizer's card.

Thanks for the response. I don't understand why they haven't thought about it, it's extremely inconvenient to either buy a gift card or transfer money to the organizers account. I hope they think about this soon.

You could give Apple this feedback here: http://www.apple.com/feedback/icloud.html.

I had this same problem. My girls both received gift cards and one of them entered it before I could enter the cards on my account (I'm the administrator). I could not purchase an app or movie without it wanting to charge my credit card. So, to solve this problem I "REMOVED" her from Family Sharing (under settings > icloud > Family). I then logged into her account and bought the movie with her itunes credit. Once complete, I invited her back to family sharing and now we can all see the movie on each of our devices. Hope this helps.

Is there a limit to how many times you can remove and read a family member?  I read somewhere that if a person leaves a family group, they are limited to joining only one per year.

    Thanks

I am not sure, as I have only done this one time. She still has credits, so I imagine when she is ready to buy something we will have to try it again. I hope that it is NOT the case with adding and removing someone. I cannot I understand why that would be an issue. Please post a link if you do indeed find that rule of removing and re-adding someone "once a year". Thanks!
