They admitted there was a problem, posted a temporary solution, pulled the update within an hour and the fix was out in less than 24 hours. As there was a workaround (and not like the iOS 6 maps issue, which was not reversible, and which Cook subsequently apologized) I really doubt you will see an apology this time around, but who knows.
