I just found an article on Yahoo support about the issue. After trying a few things, including contacting their support to try to help, this is what ultimately worked.

    1. Delete the account from your Mail settings

    2. Add new email account in Mail settings

**3. Click "Other" rather than the Yahoo prompt** - This seems to be the big difference for me, it would NOT work when I just clicked the Yahoo logo!

    4. Set up your mail as IMAP with your Yahoo settings.

That's it. I tried a lot of other things and dealt with the problem for a week and a half before finally trying this, and this is what did it. Good luck!

The Similar problem happened to me on 6th April when suddenly mails stopped working; I found. The solution where by apparently a corrupted mail header stops synching or downloading of mails on device. Solution was to, login to Yahoo from web or another interface and move these mails to temporary folder and boom! Your inbox will start working all fine.

It did for me; but to me this is disappointing from Apple; as when I could download the same mails using Yahoo native app that I downloaded from Apple Store on same device. Definitely Apple's issue!!!

Sounds like a plan.  However, how does one find their yahoo settings?
