Q: Entourage to Mac Mail problem
Hello all,
I've recently had to update my system to an iMac (Mavericks OS X 10.9.5) as my 2007 Mac Pro keeled over and died. I cannot turn the Mac Pro on as every time I try (and I tried every avenue along the way – from complete reformat and reinstall to buying replacement RAM), I got the dropping grey screen of death that told me I needed to restart, even before I got to log in.
The night before it keeled over for the last time, I did manage to create a Time Machine backup. However, now I'm on the new system, I need to get all my emails back. I used to use Entourage 2004 and did not have the opportunity to export any information. I've read that one needs to export Entourage files as an .mbox before being able to import them into Mail, but as that isn't an option, can anyone think of a workaround for this situation?
Yours in hope, and thanks in advance,
T.

Thank you Eric and Csound1 for your replies.
Rather than it being naivety, I had forgotten that the purchase of a new system doesn't mean the end of expenditure. Therefore, I'm doing all I can to eliminate any expense I can do without.
So, no doubt Emailchemy could help, but I decided to give the old Mac another go and try to save on the 30 bucks. One of Eric's links led me to something I hadn't tried before (kernel panics were happening on startup, even before reaching login) and so I tried to startup in Single User mode – Mac OS X: How to start up in single-user or verbose mode – when I then did a safe boot, I managed to log in long enough to do an export of my Entourage mailboxes.
...the Mac Pro crashed soon after. But, still, now I have my emails back!
Thanks.
T.
