Sep 25, 2014 9:09 AM in response to Tomzindlerby Roger Wilmut1,iOS 8.0.1 turned out to be flawed and has been withdrawn, so if you hadn't actually got as far as installing it you should count yourself lucky. You should wait for the next update.
If you did actually install it (it seems to be OK with iPhone 5 but not 6) then restore your phone using iTunes and then restore your data from your backup.

Sep 25, 2014 3:01 PM in response to Tomzindlerby Roger Wilmut1,Reported in Macintouch:
Apple has now posted procedures to help iPhone 6 owners recover from the bad iOS 8.0.1 update:
Loss of cellular service or ability to use Touch ID after updating to iOS 8.0.1 on iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus
We have a workaround for you if you have an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus and you lost cellular service and Touch ID functionality today after updating to iOS 8.0.1. You can reinstall iOS 8 through iTunes by following the instructions below. We are also preparing iOS 8.0.2 with a fix for the issue, and will release it as soon as it's ready in the next few days. -
Sep 29, 2014 7:36 AM in response to Roger Wilmut1by iGeekPhonePad,Apple is Reeetardedd!!!! I have an iPhone 5S and was notified update 8.0.2 was available. My wife has an iPhone 5 and she was notified that 8.0.1 was available. Obviously my update worked, but she has the same problem as the 0P, though I'm looking at Wi-Fi connected, it says no connection available when trying to verify the update. POS Apple products! Is there an issue with the iPhone 5 not being able to update to 8.0.2???? Ugh... More market loss by Apple to Samsung…

Oct 7, 2014 11:47 AM in response to Tomzindlerby iGeekPhonePad,I ended up having to update my wife's 5 via iTunes because the update on the phone was "stuck" on 8.01 even though 8.02 had been pushed. She is mad as a hornet, everything seems to be acting up. Battery loss is 3 times faster than previous. Main culprit according to the battery usage app is LOW SIGNAL across several apps listed there. Funny, the same office she has sat in for 5 years didn't have a problem with low signal...until IOS 8. What a piece of CRAP! Apple, you are a bunch of morons!
