My modem is freezing when I turn my Apple Tv on

My modem is freezing when I turn my Apple Tv on ... same problem with our new modem. I have this problem since june 2014. I've allready tried by ethernet: same problem, changing wap/wpa2: same problem, fixed IP: same problem, ... Anyone a suggestion? I have a ATV generation 1.
