Likewise, the iTunes store uses an Apple ID for purchases. It does not have to be the same Apple ID that you use for your iCloud account. See this article -

Specifically -

After you enter your Apple ID, there are three ways you can reset your password. Choose an option below:

• Answer your security questions. Use these steps if you know the answers to your security questions.
• Use email authentication. We'll send you an email that you can use to reset your password.
• Use two-step verification. If you set up two-step verification, you can use it to reset your password. You just need your recovery key and a trusted device
