Can Keynote be integrated into Captivate 8?

Captivate can not use Keynote files as Keynote does not have the structure required that Captivate requires.

So export to PowerPoint from within Keynote: File > Export > PowerPoint

But this only works if you also have the Powerpoint app on your computer. I don't, so my imports don't work. Very discouraging, since I have so much work ready to go in Keynote. I want to do a video of Keynote, then import the parts, then have it be interactive elearning.

I'm trying copying the bits of the Keynote one by one into Captivate, and so far it may be working. Time will tell if I can make them interactive. :-/

Powerpoint files are directly imported into Captivate, Microsoft Office is not required to be installed on the Mac that is running Captivate.

Maybe so, but the only message I get when importing one in is that it opens up a finder window and asks to be pointed to the Powerpoint app.

I'll keep trying. I've probably done something wrong.

Thanks for all the info. I'll keep at it. My powerpoints may be the wrong file type. Appreciate the help.
