Sep 25, 2014 7:18 PM in response to Stevembdby Carolyn Samit,Hi ..
Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
No data is lost due to a reset.
If nothing above worked, try this support article > iOS: Troubleshooting Bluetooth connections

Sep 25, 2014 7:18 PM in response to Stevembdby ChrisJ4203,Devices updated will generally cause issues with Bluetooth. Remove the phone from the vehicle list, remove the vehicle from the iPhone list. Go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. Then put the devices back into discovery/pairing mode and pair them again. This should fix your issue.

Sep 25, 2014 7:43 PM in response to Stevembdby ChrisJ4203,So, did you try what Carolyn recommended. The majority of Bluetooth issues are with the new phones, however, you can try a restore if the resets we recommended did not work. Every one that I have worked with so far with phones other than the 6 have been fixed by one of the resets. Others have talked about a reset of their vehicle system. Did Chevy ask you to do that?

I'm guessing that you meant Chevy told you to restore their system to factory settings? Are you able to connect any other Bluetooth devices to your phone? Are you able to turn Bluetooth off/on in Settings? It almost sounds as if the Bluetooth system is failing on the phone. It is unusual not to be able to connect to a device after a complete reset like that.

Sep 26, 2014 8:41 AM in response to Stevembdby Hussain,It's a known problem in iOS8 and even affects iPhone 6. Wait for an update.

Sep 26, 2014 8:43 AM in response to Hussainby ChrisJ4203,And the OP stated clearly in his post that he is using a 4S. This post has nothing to do with an iPhone 6. Please read before you respond.

Sep 26, 2014 8:51 AM in response to ChrisJ4203by Hussain,But I said it's a known issue in iOS8. I have an iPhone 5 and 6 and the problem exists in both. Also Google iOS8 Bluetooth problems and you'll see it's a common issue, not one fixed with a restore or re-pairing.

Sep 28, 2014 10:20 AM in response to Hussainby bpuskari,BLUETOOTH BROKEN!!!
After updating my iPhone 5S to iOS 8, bluetooth service in the phone is lost!!
Tried everything, reset network settings, deleted bluetooth devices, renamed iPhone, restarted it (soft reset), NOTHING.
I can't connect iPhone with my car bluetooth handsfree, my iPhone can't connect with my iPad, I can forget about Airdrop!!!!
So frustrating!!!! As if BT service in the phone is broken!!!

Sep 29, 2014 6:26 PM in response to Stevembdby johnfromchico,I have iOS 8 iphone 6 Tesla Model S with v6 software and bluetooth phone is very flaky, starts/stops, transfers call to iPhone without bluetooth, very annoying. I too am a serious Apple user and expect Apple to provide a solution to this ASAP. Apple, please acknowledge people on your forum talking about this very common problem, we all need a resolution ASAP.

Sep 29, 2014 8:49 PM in response to johnfromchicoby johnfromchico,OK, good to know Apple doesn't respond, guess that makes sense, that's why there aren't any responses from Apple in here. In any case, I have resolved my own issue with the help of all of you.
I have read all of the posts on here and have had numerous conflicting messages.
THIS WORKS:
If not on iOS 8.02, update, then:
1) On iPhone, forget device
2) On Device, forget iPhone
3) On iPhone, Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset All Network Settings (this will reset your iPhone name too)
4) Settings -> General -> About -> Name reset to the name you desire Like "Your name iPhone 6"
5) Reconnect your iPhone Bluetooth to your car/device
Voila! Good Luck...
