Sep 29, 2014 9:27 PM in response to johnfromchicoby sberman, johnfromchico, I have exactly the same configuration you do ... running iOS 8.0.2. I had the same issues. What fixed it for me was doing a restore as new. Before doing this, I went to the Genius Bar who suggested restoring from an iCloud backup (I always have used iTunes backups in the past). Anyway, the iCloud backup restore failed. But the restore as new, followed by manually loading apps, etc. worked just fine.

Sep 29, 2014 10:06 PM in response to sbermanby johnfromchico,I now know why. iOS 8 doesn't upgrade bluetooth correctly, resetting network settings or new does that.

Sep 30, 2014 9:09 AM in response to johnfromchicoby Stevembd,Thanks, I did that and have also tried the full restore and my phone still disconnects and reconnects every 3 to 4 minutes on my 2014 Chev truck. I was thinking of upgrading my 4s to the 6 but may have to switch brands unless they get this fixed soon. My wife who has not put IOS 8 on her 5s phone stays connected to the truck just fine.

Sep 30, 2014 10:13 AM in response to sbermanby heystan42,Iiphone 6 and 2010 Honda "Hands-Free Link" does not work!!!! "Reset" phone, per Apple Care. No help. "Restored" phone, per Apple Care. No help!! Completely reinitialize vehicle system, added phone as a new phone. No help!!!!! Genius Bar appointment, Genius sez' "it's all screwed up, but an update is coming real soon!!!"
I sure hope so -- with an iPhone 4 and 5 and both 6.n and 7.n versions of iOS, everything worked flawlessly of almost four years!!!!!
iOS v8.0, 8.01 and 8.02 have killed it!!!!!!!
REALLY *****, since I'm in CA, with mandatory hands-free law!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
COme one on Apple!!! If you can't fix it, can we have 7.0 Bluetooth back? PLEASE??????????

Sep 30, 2014 10:18 AM in response to Hussainby Hussain,False alarm it doesn't work. It connects to the car and looks to be working normally, unlike before where when connected it would say someone is calling buy they're not. But when calling or getting a call the system doesn't recognize and just pretends there's no call.

Oct 13, 2014 1:56 PM in response to johnfromchicoby johnfromchico,Set a call with Apple. They instructed me to:
- Remove new iPhone 6 and all other non-used devices from iCloud via Mac/browser
- Turn off iCloud on iPhone 6
- Forget iPhone and devices respectively on each paired bluetooth car/device and iPhone
- Reconnect iPhone 6 to iCloud
- Re-establish Bluetooth pairings
To my utter amazement, this has been working flawlessly since the support call. I've tested it enough to be satisfied that the problem is solved. Try these steps or contact Apple who will walk you through them, it is worth it...

Oct 13, 2014 3:18 PM in response to AmishCakeby heystan42,AmishCake...saw your reply while I was reading the detailed explanation of that same fix in an online 'GoMobile' (or something close to that) article. I had Googled the problem to see if any new information had surfaced since yesterday. This seems to be the fix that everyone is converging upon. Just wish the folks at Apple Care and at the Genius Bar had been aware of this!!!!
THAT WORKED!! Tested successfully on outgoing and incoming calls and appears to be working perfectly once again!!!!
Now, if Apple would just publicly apologize for the monumental imposition they shoved up our collective tailpipes, with the amount of individual corrective action required to make THEIR software update perform correctly.
I'm an Apple evangelist, but this one ****** me off and the sting will last for a while!!

Feb 9, 2015 6:01 PM in response to johnfromchicoby Blake,I tried this and it worked immediately after. The next day the phone would not work right with my 2013 Chevy truck again.
iOS 8.1.3 upgrade last week did not fix this bluetooth connection problem. Any new fixes out there that work?

Feb 9, 2015 9:02 PM in response to Blakeby ChrisJ4203,You need to contact Chevrolet/GM. If you have followed all of the steps here in the thread, including removing the phone from the vehicle, the vehicle from the phone, resetting network settings and it is still a problem, then you need to find out if GM has an update to work with Bluetooth version 4.
