Photos Lost Since Updating To iOS8.

SInce updating to iOS8 my wife has only a handful of her photos on her iPad but she has her entire collection (100s) sitting happily on her iPhone.

How can I safely get the photos from her iPhone to her iPad so that both devices have all of them?

MacBook Air, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)

Hi ..

Sync the photos from the iPhone to the computer using iTunes > iOS: How to transfer or sync content to your computer

Then connect the iPad and sync the photos from the Mac > iTunes: Syncing photos
