Sep 26, 2014 9:58 PM in response to Supa Monkeyby Yika,I also tried the things you tried with locations services and turning off privacy/locationservices/systemservices/turn off wi-fi networking. So here I sit with using an old 3GS to access my network. This is ridiculous.

Sep 26, 2014 10:14 PM in response to Jeep4Lifeby Timchap,Same. I have found that when I plug my iPhone in to charge it, then the wifi disconnects. Actually, the wifi loses the DNS and stops working with any computer until I reboot the router. Getting alittle frustrated here. Scared actually...it's like the iPhone gives off a mini-EMP that takes out networks. Really cool.

Sep 27, 2014 6:25 AM in response to Jeep4Lifeby becpryke,I am sitting here trying desperately not to cry, downloaded update onto my ipad 2, it broke it and wouldn't even factory restore. Took it to shop this morning and paid £15 for the privilege of getting it factory restored but now wifi runs so slow that nothing works as it times out. Apple I don't have any money, i can't afford to fix this, you've ruined my ipad what are you going to do about it?????

Sep 27, 2014 6:57 AM in response to Jeep4Lifeby The_Doctor10,Same problem on my 5s iOS8.02... As I write this reply my wifi has dropped out twice when I'm in the room where the router is!
Contrast that with my old 4s that I use as an iPod now, haven't upgraded to iOS8 at all and it works beautifully, so this is DEFINTELY a problem due to iOS8.
FIX IT APPLE!!!

Sep 27, 2014 7:43 AM in response to bobfromlongbranchby Supa Monkey,This has nothing to do with WEP/WPA, Im running WPA2 and its not working. When I go to public wifi spots, doesnt work there either. If people are on WEP and WPA2 (and WPA?) and experiencing issues, its clearly then not the encryption protocol where the problem lies.

Sep 27, 2014 8:09 AM in response to Jeep4Lifeby Jabrod,I downloaded ios 8.0.2 via Wifi and now I've been having problems with my iPhone 6 detecting Wifi Networks. Resetting the Network Connections provides a temporary solution, but I've had to do this a couple of times. Very frustrating. My next step is to do a factory reset and do a restore via iTunes. I hope this will take care of the problem. I believe I read this is an issue being reported in Australia, however, I'm in Chicago.

It is very helpful if people report their location as the news reports are only referencing the Chicago (oops, meant Australia) problems.
I've had problems with my 6 (on iOS 8) seeing WiFi networks but after a Reset Network Settings a couple of days ago it hasn't recurred. I'm holding off on the 8.0.2 update until these reports go away...

Sep 27, 2014 8:49 AM in response to Jeep4Lifeby mvision7m,Wife and I both got iPhone 6s last week and iOS 8 was crashing apps a lot more than either of our previous iPhones and, the wifi was dropping out occasionally. We thought iOS 8.0.2 had a fix for this as well as other known issues but as stated in this thread, the wifi drops persist. While preparing dinner last night my wife was watching a show on HBO GO on her iPhone 6 (which was connected to our home network as usual and as always when we're home) and she gets a message stating that using 3G to stream may impact our data usage and bill. So, although the iPhone's wifi status symbol showed in the top left corner as if her phone were still connected to our home wifi, the phone was apparently using our cell's 3G connection to stream HBO GO. Horrible! iOS 8 so far has been a disaster compared to my usually great experiences with previous iOS versions. Apple's gotta get on this! While her phone was apparently using 3G instead of our home network to stream HBO, I was in the living room streaming Netflix via Apple TV with no problems whatsoever. So, we know for sure that it's not our network. We've thankfully never had any network issues with any of your previous iPhones nor either of our two Apple TVs nor my MacBook Pro. It's the Phones themselves or the iOS that's the problem. iOS 8.0.3 had better be in the works with a legitimate fix for the wifi issues and whatever other issues remain. C'mon Apple.
