Q: Why does iOS 8.0.2 not resolve the issue of WiFi connectivity with iOS 8 and the new iPhone 6?

My iPhone 6 is still randomly disconnecting from my home WiFi, even after the latest OS update.  My spouse also has an iPhone 6 and has experienced no issues with WiFi connectivity.  When I spoke with Apple earlier in the week, I was told that they were aware of this issue with iOS 8 and would be working on a solution that should be released in 24 hours.  I have a $700+ phone that doesn't stay connected to WiFi.  Ridiculous.  Apple really needs to get it together.  This is the worst OS release yet.

I just updates my iPhone 5 with 32gb internal memory to iOS 8.0.2 and honestly I'm angry as **** right now. my iCloud doesn't work anymore, 1000 of the photo's I had stored on my device are just randomly deleted from my camera roll, my apps keep crashing or don't even open at all, and my phone keeps lagging all the time. My iPhone worked perfectly before this update.

Camera Roll is no more, your pictures are now in collections/moments. iCloud should still work. May need to log out and back in or something simple. There most likely is some lag  but typically will dissipate after a while on a 5. The 4s is just going to have some lag no matter what. And you are in the wrong thread for this complaint. This thread is pertaining to WIFI issues

I talked to Apple support today on chat. I still have my ticket number and need to call them tomorrow to continue troubleshooting my wifi issues. These guys at Apple have no idea about this. They believe everything is in perfect order. Thay said this is just my issue and nobody else's. The support guy said that his iphone has even better wifi connection after 8.02. I see they won't fix that any soon. So i decided it is smarter to switch if they don't provide any fix soon.

Same here just like everyone else. Just spoke to the apple support team and the guy said he knew nothing about this problem, I sent him the link to here and told him to read. £700 phone this should not happen, very very dissapointed

Apparently they are forbidden to visit their support forums. These are considered user forums. So to report issues, its best to go here: https://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

I have the same issue. I regret to buy iPhone 6 this time. I have never had such connectivity issues with my other phones. 620 pounds for a phone with no Wifi connections. It is just ridiculous. Apple, f*** away!

Same issue. I have an iPhone 6 with 8.0.2. Upgraded from 8.0 (I did not install 8.0.1), and have had nothing but wifi and data issues ever since. It works for a little while if I do a hard reboot, and then nothing. Will not load safari pages or apps that rely on connectivity (i.e., Facebook). My phone worked fine on 8.0. Highly disappointed. 8.0.2 is BROKEN! I may have to get on the Android boat as well. Such a frustrating shame Apple can't get this right.

Trust me sbailey4 I have also filled in the feedback forms. I had a call scheduled from Apple today to talk me through the "fix" I had to reset network settings on my phone and reboot my router. 2 hours later it was dropping again, the nice lady said if you need to call back for the same issue we will talk you through connecting your phone to a computer and doing a full phone reset.

I have been an Apple fan from the early days, the time it takes Apple to fix this very annoying bug will make or break if I stay with them.

Apple just killed my iPad Air with the 8.0.2 Update. Yesterday everything was fine. Today all apps stall, crash and there is no Wifi or Cellular available any more ...

The guide to fixing your WiFi does not typically fix it.  It's much deeper than turning on/off a few things or resetting the network.

Nope, this hasn't helped.  For me, it's definitely a DNS issue and I hope the youtube video helps.
