Sep 29, 2014 3:58 PM in response to Jeep4Lifeby sbailey4,Anyone who is convinced that the issue is with 8.0.2 and 8.0 worked should go back to 8.0 before Apple stops signing it. Also certainly there is a return window for those with iP6 that feel that its the device. It seems here that some who were on iOS 8 were not having any issues so perhaps going back to that until Apple can get a real solution would be the best solution for the moment. Also have read other places that this seems more prevalent on 5gz band and not so much on the 2.4ghz band so maybe using the 2.4gz on your routers will help as well. Again until Apple actually fixes it. Just trying to offer some temporary help here because ultimately this is most likely going to require an iOS update to resolve it.

Sep 29, 2014 5:47 PM in response to Jeep4Lifeby TheZediKnight,I updated my iPad 4 on Friday to 8.02. Since then my WiFi connectivity has been ridiculously slow. I've tried all the suggestions on this thread and nothing has helped. I actually have two routers, one being the NetGear Nighthawk and the other an older Time Machine. I'm having slow connectivity on both (using WPA). My last resort is now to downgrade to 8.0 and hope that helps. Figure it's worth a try before Apple stops signing that too. I totally would have downgraded to 7.1.2 if they hadn't stopped signing it within a couple days. Gah. Oh, and I'm in Seattle, so this isn't just an Australian problem.
APPLE, PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP!!!!

Sep 29, 2014 6:03 PM in response to SGUPTA0001by SGUPTA0001,Changing DNS manually to 8.8.8.8 seems to work - thank you !! I Updated my router to assign 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as the DNS servers rather than my wifi router assigned default broadband gateway IP

Sep 29, 2014 6:25 PM in response to okifromjakartaby ONUOsFan,Yeah, add me to the list of people having issues. About once a day (or more) it just randomly drops connection or gets really slow. Resetting fixes it for a while and then it goes out again. Other devices on the network (including several other iOS devices) are perfectly fine. Just my brand new iphone 6 that has issues
I can't tell that it's any better (or worse) since I upgraded to 8.0.2.

Sep 29, 2014 6:46 PM in response to Jeep4Lifeby iidavidii,After I updated to 8.0.2 on iPhone 6 I couldn't connect to any WiFi network. I "Reset Network Settings" which fixed the issue for me.

Sep 29, 2014 7:09 PM in response to Jeep4Lifeby JaMOray,I am having similar issues. Apple needs to acknowledge this issue. My iPhone 6 with the latest problems connects fine but the wifi is intermittently slow on a perfect corporate wifi. Loading video on my phone requires me to switch to cell data to avoid serious waiting < 1 mbs a on speed test.
this is a wifi issue with either ios8 or the wifi bands on iPhone 6.
*** APPLE?

Sep 29, 2014 9:29 PM in response to Jeep4Lifeby yuenwidjaja,Wifi connection unstable when cellular is also on. What we've found is when we enter the flight mode then turn on the wifi, so the idevice is only connected to wifi and on flight mode, the wifi connection is stable.

Sep 29, 2014 10:57 PM in response to yuenwidjajaby Sc8rf8ce,Hi,
same problem over here in Germany. Regarding to some websites only the Australian iPhones should be affected but I don´t think so.
Yesterday I did a factory reset but the wifi connection still randomly drops connection. I notice it especially in the morning when I didn´t use the phone for some hours. When I then look at my phone I am only on cellular even my router is running 24 hours the whole year. The only option that helps is to restart my iPhone and then immediately my iPhone is connected to my wifi.
Now I am thinking about returning my iPhone 6 but I don´t know if it will be better with another device.
So do you think it´s a hardware thing or will it be completely fixed with the next iOS update iOS 8.0.3?!
Cheers
Rene

Sep 29, 2014 11:05 PM in response to Sc8rf8ceby charlesindo,Hi,
I think the problem not from your iPhone, but from apple, iOS 8.0-8.0.2 have a slow wifi..
But if you want try to change your iPhone, let us know about your new iPhone have a problem with the wifi or not..
